Essential Functions and Objectives:

A dministers and manages activities within a specific area of a responsibility. Serves as the subject matter expert and applies gained knowledge to execute, maintain and improve systems, programs, or processes.

P rovides exceptional creative services for marketing and branding efforts, District departments, and District-wide initiatives. Manages a variety of projects from concept to completion, including informational publications, parent-facing collateral, school branding campaigns, and District brand management efforts.

- Provides various support and conducts activities related to logistics, reporting, training, communications, and processes. Participates in the planning and implementation of new initiatives.

- Assesses and troubleshoots escalated problems and applies expert understanding to resolve complex challenges of stakeholders; focuses on root cause identification in order to achieve systemic and sustainable improvement. Approves and documents exceptions for compliance record keeping and reporting.

- Ensures appropriate key stakeholder involvement in planning, goal-setting, and implementation to achieve buy-in of work products. Ensures purposeful, positive and professional interactions and relationships with all stakeholders; enables consistent application of work products across the district.

- Identifies opportunities for improvement, prioritizes, and recommends solutions to management. Implements approved enhancements to ensure consistency across the district. Identifies opportunities to reduce costs; analyzes available data, trends, and feedback, and ensures compliance with expectations for optimal operation and goal achievement.

- Utilizes creativity and knowledge of current graphic design software and tools to design projects from concept to completion in support of the District, its departments, and its schools, through print and digital media.

- Manages multiple projects simultaneously while remaining flexible through rounds of revisions and maintaining keen attention to detail.

- Consults with stakeholders and team members to determine project needs, develop a project plan, and produce effective visual solutions.

- Supports annual publications and collateral, including the District map, Parent/Student handbook, the Enrollment Guide publications series, open enrollment, and other efforts.

- Supports the creative process for rebranding efforts, including logo development, collateral design, interior/exterior signage, and promotional materials.

- Assists with development of enhanced District brand standards guidelines and leads efforts to strengthen brand integrity throughout the organization.

- Supports the priorities of the Communications Office and its efforts in schools across the District.

K nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Four (4) to six (6) years of design experience with a solid portfolio.

- Experience in the education industry is preferred.

- Strong creative skills to develop visual concepts that will inspire stakeholders to action.

- Exceptional relationship-building and project-management skills necessary to organize a variety of stakeholders around a common goal.

- Proficiency with Google Suite/Microsoft Office products, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

- Understanding of and experience in branding, layout, color theory and typography in both print and digital media.

- Effective time management and organizational skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with a team, including close coordination with school leaders and other marketing team members.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

- Strong prepress skills, including knowledge of file preparation and experience working with print vendors.

- Works collaboratively with others on a team.

- Willingness and ability to travel to school sites throughout the District.

- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

E ducation Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or related field required.
