  • Long Term Maternity Leave Sub Spanish Position for 2022

    Fenwick High School is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school. Founded in 1929 by the Dominican Friars, this private school of over 100 faculty and staff is dedicated to empowering our students to grow intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically in a disciplined and diverse environment. The school offers a rigorous academic program, including college prep, honors and AP coursework, as well as a variety of clubs, athletics and service opportunities.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    The position will be approximately January 3 - April 13, 2022. There will be a few shadow days as well at the beginning of December. It will include 3 Spanish IV classes, 1 Spanish II class, and 1 Spanish I class as well as one supervisory period. The teacher must communicate regularly with parents through the biweekly posting of students' grades.

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish

    Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL)

    High School teaching experience a plus

    Basic technology use (PC use, email, internet, office or google suite) a must

    Familiarity with Schoology and 1:1 iPad use in the classroom a plus
