Description of Service Opportunity:
The Instructional Aide will work after-school, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., each school day in the Pearl K. Wise Library located at CRLS.
The Instructional Aide will support the library's programs and services, including:
-Maintain a welcoming and congenial atmosphere conducive to study.
-Perform routine clerical tasks.
-Use automated circulation system to manage circulation.
-Supervise student workers.
-Assist students and staff in locating materials.
-Assist students and staff in operating computers and equipment.
-Troubleshoot minor technology and equipment issues.

Mimimum Requirement/Job Qualifications:
-The Instructional Aide, preferably, will have at least two years post-graduate education; Bachelor's degree highly desirable.
-S/he will have previous experience in an educational or recreational setting overseeing high school age students.
-S/he will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills critical to succeed in a high-use environment serving a diverse population.
-S/he will have knowledge of personal computers and applications.
-Previous experience working in a library is desirable.
The Instructional Aide will work after-school, 3:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. each school day.
The Instructional Aide will be paid at the contractual Other Non-Teaching/Supervisory/School Operations or Project Work.
Not to exceed 360 hours or $8,640.00

Contract Dates:
September 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022

Contract Amount
$24.00 per hour, not to exceed $8,640.00
