    Vacancy: Paraprofessional (Math Intervention)

    Starting Date: As soon as possible

    Hours: 27 hours per week

    Salary: As per contract

    Qualifications: The ideal candidate will:
    • Enjoy working with students at the intermediate levels of learning (Grades 5 and 6)

    • Be able to maintain confidentiality at all times

    • Demonstrate an understanding of the content area skills and the ability to communicate this understanding to grade 5 and 6 students

    • Have strong interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrate a strong work ethic

    • Be flexible with following directions and supporting a wide-range of diverse learners

    • Have experience working with students at the intermediate levels (preferred)

    • Demonstrate strong mathematics skills to work with a diversified group of students

    • Understand and be able to support students with mathematics instruction/application


    Responsibilities:

    The paraprofessional will work to support students in 1:1 or small group settings and provide SRBI support in the academic content area of mathematics. The paraprofessional will work under the supervision of the Math Specialist and building administration.
