Description
The United Schools Network (USN) is a nonprofit organization in Columbus, Ohio, that starts and manages urban public charter schools that close the opportunity gap. The network includes two high-performing middle schools, a high-performing elementary school, and launched a second elementary school in the fall of 2017. We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our network at either Columbus Collegiate Academy-Dana Ave. or Columbus Collegiate Academy-Main St.

    Joining Our Team
    Columbus Collegiate Academy will consider hiring a full-time Operations Manager who:

    Leadership Skills and Characteristics

    Administrative Duties
    • Year-round management of student enrollment, course, section & roster configuration, schedule set-up, and withdrawal process in DASL.
    • Manage audit of student records for ongoing completeness and accuracy in SIS - ensure that every student record is accurate and updated on a timely basis.
    • Oversee student & staff attendance data process & ensure that it is reconciled & accurate each day.
    • Oversee daily data entry and follow up for student discipline system.
    • Produce academic reports (i.e. report cards, progress reports, STRIVE Paycheck, etc.).
    • Provide leadership team with ad-hoc reports & data dashboards on daily/weekly/monthly basis (as requested by the School Director).
    • Coordinate student health services; monitor student health & safety for any unusual/troubling trends; coordinate with health care professionals to ensure that students receive appropriate care & immunizations.
    • Coordinate daily student transportation services as well as field trips; monitor for troubling trends and elevate issues to the Operations Director as appropriate.
    • Coordinate daily student food services at the campus; ensure the accurate tracking of student meal consumption; troubleshoot with the Operations Director.
    • Serve as point person for teacher technical support in using the SIS for attendance and grade book; serve as liaison with IT Support Service Vendor on IT related issues.
    • Manage school inventory and assets (IT, furniture, etc.).
    • Manage school compliance items (NSLP, Health & Safety, etc.).
    • Assist with facilities management (review contracts; maintain school repair and improvement priorities, etc.).
    • Support and manage the Office Coordinator.
    • Research and develop best practices in school operations.

    Terms of Employment
    This position will begin in late July 2020, though applications will be considered immediately. Compensation and benefits are competitive; this position is eligible to participate in either Ohio's State Teacher Retirement System or School Employee Retirement System.
