Health Services Assistant & Educational Assistant 2

Purpose: The Health Service Assistant meets student medical needs as required and maintains student health records and reporting. The Educational Assistant 2 supports student learning by assisting licensed staff in curriculum/program implementation.

Hours: 6.75 hours per day (4hrs Health Services Assistant & 2.75 hrs of Educational Assistant)
Schedule: 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM
Contract Status: Regular/Probationary
FLSA Status: Non-exempt - Classified
Start Date: As soon as possible
Calendar: 180 Work Days
Rate: $16.73 per hour with benefits
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Notes: Open until filled with earliest review of applications on September 20, 2021. This position will provide 4 hours of assistance in the health room, assisting students with medical needs, medication and monitoring. 2.75 hours will be Educational Assistant, helping in classrooms and providing supervision of students.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • An associate's (or higher) degree, two years post-secondary study (72 quarter or 48 semester credits), or a passing score on a district approved assessment.Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies as trained by certifications and District Nurse.Completion of blood borne pathogen protection training.Standard First Aid certification (required). CPR (required)Required to provide proof of COVID vaccination.
