Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a long-term substitute English Teacher for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
Description:
The long-term sub will teach classes comprised of seniors, with the possibility for additional on-demand substitute teaching. The substitute will need to collaborate with the current teacher in preparation and maintenance of the students' coursework, but then s/he will also need to create daily lessons, grade/record assignments weekly, and perform all other standard teacher responsibilities as necessary.
The long-term substitute will work collaboratively with the appropriate curriculum teams. The curriculum team work will center on aligning instruction and assessment with state and school Learning Targets in a backward-design philosophy.
Tentative Dates : TBD 2021/2022 school year
Qualifications:
Professional Educator License (PEL) with secondary English Language Arts endorsement required.
*Full Covid vaccination status is a condition of employment at Stevenson.
