Reports To: School Director
Pay: $15.00 per hour

Position Description:
A Distinctive Schools Lunch and Recess Monitor will ensure that an enjoyable and safe lunch/recess experience for all students. The monitor is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all students in the cafeteria and during the recess period. This person will:
- supervise the students in the cafeteria during lunch services monitoring the noise level and student behavior, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
- support students in the development of their social emotional awareness during free play time assisting students with conflict resolution as needed
- document incident reports/referrals in a clear and concise manner, and referring students to the appropriate personnel should disciplinary action be deemed necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with children in education setting, as a volunteer or other child-related position
