JOB GOAL:

To use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Valid Arizona Principal's Certificate
  2. Three years successful teaching experience
  3. Documented evidence of successful leadership experience
  4. Advanced coursework preferred
  5. Bilingual in Spanish preferred


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  1. Manage the disciplinary program for all students.
  2. Maintain the attendance system for all students and parents.
  3. Assist in the evaluation of all instructional and support staff.
  4. Assist in the development of pilot programs and projects.
  5. Monitor programs funded from external programs.
  6. Serve as liaison with Middle School staff.
  7. Monitor, supervise, and direct extracurricular activities.
  8. Assist the principal with facilities maintenance.
  9. Assist with the development of the master schedule.
  10. Supervise a comprehensive Special Education Department.
  11. Organize and manage standardized testing.
  12. Monitor and implement campus safety policies and procedures.
  13. Implement all School Board Policies and Procedures.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours
