Early Childhood Assistant Team Interventionist
Salary: Based on Hourly Rate
Early Childhood Assistance Team (ECAT) Interventionists work with identified students needing additional academic support beyond Tier I and Tier II instruction. The ECAT interventionist addresses the specific needs of children when regular classroom instruction is not sufficient. Interventionists also work with classroom teachers to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child. ECAT interventionists will work extensively to provide Tier III intervention to students needing intensive support. Interventionists may push-in to the general education classroom to provide Tier II or supplemental support if the schedule allows.

ECAT Interventionist duties will consist of, but are not limited to:
- Consulting frequently with classroom teachers and the Prekindergarten Consultant on matters relating to instruction.Consulting with the ECAT psychologist and using progress-monitoring instruments as a baseline and guide for instruction.Collaborating with teachers to recognize strengths and challenges, then matching these skills with appropriate strategies and materials.Collaborating with teachers and ECAT psychologist to facilitate the coordination of interventions.Collaborating with the classroom teachers to monitor student progress.Providing interventions that are not only appropriate for prekindergarten students, but that are aligned with their academic needs.Maintaining records that include type of interventions, time, frequency and date.Submitting monthly reports to the Office of School Readiness and Prekindergarten Programs
