JOB GOAL:

Perform maintenance and repairs that require a general knowledge of maintenance. Ensure clean, sanitary, healthy conditions throughout the facility and grounds. Work cooperatively with students, staff and community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Valid Arizona driver's license
  3. Must pass a background clearance
  4. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  5. Electrical Experience preferred

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  1. Perform planned maintenance, and regular servicing on a variety of building systems and equipment which may include but is not limited to water heaters, plumbing fixtures, fire alarm, intercom, lighting and security systems
  2. Perform general repairs to facilities, including drywall, painting and furniture, fixtures and equipment.
  3. Must document and maintain accurate records for maintenance and equipment repair.
  4. Must be able to perform multiple tasks, be self-motivated, and be responsible.
  5. Maintain familiarity with working from diagrams, blueprints, plans and specifications.
  6. Work independently both from written work orders and from verbal instructions to resolve system problems.
  7. Perform job set-ups including delivering materials to and the clean-up of completed projects.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel for extended periods of time, as well as to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs., be able to exert 50 -60 lbs. of force frequently, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-MONTH; Vacation Days: per policy GDD. General Leave Days: per policy GDCA

COMPENSATION: Classified Salary Schedule

BENEFITS: As per District policy

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Operations and Construction

EVALUATION: Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.

HOURS: 40 hours per week

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
