Professional Development Specialist - Special Education

The Collaborative for Educational Services is looking for one outstanding individual to join its team of Special Education Specialists. We are looking for a dynamic presenter, and thoughtful coach who is an experienced Educator and Administrator with the following qualifications:
  1. Building Based and Central Office LeadershipTeaching experiene: Special Education and/or General EducationUnderstanding of the how, why and what of Educational DataCo-teaching experienceFirst hand knowledge of inclusion and building healthy inclusive environmentsExperience with high needs students in inclusive settingsTeacher coaching experience


We are looking for the specific following Strengths of Practice:
  1. Elements of strong leadershipOutstanding references regarding teaching and learningSuccess in a co-teaching learning environmentBelief in the practice of buidling healthy inclusive environmentsCollaboration and communicationKnowledge of adult learningDisability specifc experience (autism spectrum expertise preferred)Teacher and Teacher Leader coachingTeacher Leadership DevelopmentSupporting school leaders in the development of healthy inclusive learning environments

MA Teacher certification required, Director certification preferred. Must be able and willing to travel throughout Massachusetts.

Compensation: competitive based on credentials and experience.

CES Benefits:
CES offers a comprehensive benefit package including: Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, and voluntary Short Term Disability, enhanced Vision and additional Life Insurance. Health Insurance is offered through Tufts/Harvard Pilgrim and includes two plan options: PPO with a self-funded Health Savings Account, and HMO with a Health Reimbursement Account funded by CES to support a portion of health insurance deductions. FSA and Dependent Care accounts are available. CES is considered a quasi-state agency and provides two retirement options for employees based on eligibility. Employees are vested after ten years of creditable service.
