  • Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Carry out instructional activities under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher;
    • Assist students in classes and activities;
    • Assist teacher in maintaining classroom management that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff;
    • Ensure adequate supervision for students;
    • Good moral character;
    • Promote a positive attitude in daily communication with students and co-workers;
    • Prepare for and assist with small group instruction;
    • Communicate effectively, using good grammar;
    • Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance;
    • Ability to use office equipment to include but not limited to a computer, fax machine, copier, and telephone;
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Experience:
    • High School diploma or GED;
    • Utilize appropriate judgment in deciding when to contact a licensed professional for assistance;
    • Follow procedures as outlined by school board policy, the school principal, or designee;
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
