Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out instructional activities under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher;
- Assist students in classes and activities;
- Assist teacher in maintaining classroom management that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff;
- Ensure adequate supervision for students;
- Good moral character;
- Promote a positive attitude in daily communication with students and co-workers;
- Prepare for and assist with small group instruction;
- Communicate effectively, using good grammar;
- Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance;
- Ability to use office equipment to include but not limited to a computer, fax machine, copier, and telephone;
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED;
- Utilize appropriate judgment in deciding when to contact a licensed professional for assistance;
- Follow procedures as outlined by school board policy, the school principal, or designee;
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
