POSITION: Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent
LOCATION: District Office
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendents of Schools
WORK YEAR: 260 days, 37.5 hrs / week
STARTING: On or Around August 26, 2021
SALARY RANGE: Competitive Salary and Benefits
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Education-Business Education curriculum, training in business office management, secretarial science or related field. Seeking a highly motivated self-starter who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle a variety of tasks requiring resourcefulness and problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The desired candidate will possess three years of relevant secretarial work experience providing administrative support and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Typing of reports and correspondence; routes and prioritizes mail; maintains office files, records and schedules; answers and screens telephone calls; responds to parent, staff and administrator questions; provides assistance to K-12 schools as well as curriculum specialist and coaches; participates in the organization and completion of hiring procedures and observation/evaluation reports; advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe, etc; ability to set up AV equipment for meetings; Organizational skills for planning district-wide events and professional development; ability to use Lawson or other comparable purchasing database; performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendents.
