General Paraprofessional position for assignment to the Torrington High School (Grades 9-12).
Associate Degree/60 college credits or successful passing of the Para-Pro Exam. Previous experience working with groups of children. A Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator's license is desirable.
INTERNAL APPLICANTS: Regular employees of the Torrington Public Schools who are current members of the Paraprofessionals union. (This does not include substitutes or Cafeteria Workers.) To be considered for transfer, Internal Applicants who wish to transfer into this position must complete an online application or re-open an existing application and must submit it between August 12 through August 19, 2021 (before midnight). Please be sure to click on the Finish and Submit button (your application is only a draft until you do this). This generates a "date stamp" which is used to determine the timeliness of your application.
EXTERNAL APPLICANTS: (persons who are not currently members of the TPS paraprofessional union) may apply August 12 through August 19, 2021 (before midnight). However, IF INTERNAL APPLICATIONS FROM QUALIFIED APPLICANTS ARE RECEIVED, NO EXTERNAL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
