Food Service Assistant - Central Kitchen Assistant Manager
Purpose: Provides specialized assistance for district food service operations. Manages elementary school kitchens and assist kitchen managers, as assigned, in accord with federal, state, and district standards and procedures. Will assist the Central Kitchen Manager in daily Food Service operations. Must have knowledge of Elementary Food Service Specialist duties and overall district Food Service operations.
Hours: 6 hours per day
Contract Status: Regular/Probationary
FLSA Status: Non-exempt - Classified
Start Date: September 8, 2021
Calendar: 177 Work Days
Rate: $13.42 per hour with benefits (Note: this is the 2020-21 rate, we are currently negotiating 2021-22 rates, TBD)
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Notes: Must have knowledge and ability to fill in at all schools as needed and travel between district Food Service sites.? Open until filled with earliest review of applications on August 6, 2021.

- Intermediate level of knowledge of institutional food-preparation techniques, including ability to operate institutional food preparation equipment.Knowledge of state nutritional and sanitary guidelines applicable to school food service programs.Hold a current food handler's card.
