Position Summary:

The Campus Director of Postsecondary Programs manages campus delivery of communications, services, programs and tools to equip students and families to successfully navigate the path from 6th/7th grade to college or career. While leading the school's Multiple Pathways Advising program, this position will collaborate with the NST Director of Postsecondary Pathways and the NST Director of Postsecondary Placement (Special Populations) to execute the network strategy at the campus level while overseeing and developing the expertise of the school College Advisor, College Coordinator, Internship Coordinator and Case Managers to ensure all parties are working together to support a successful post-secondary transition. The vision for this role is to deliver on our network promise to provide an aligned post-secondary option to all of our students so they can pursue their dreams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Execute Strategy
    • · Assess school needs and capacity in order to inform the direction of the Multiple Pathways strategy and Post-Secondary Team and Specialized Services collaboration
    • · Partner closely with the Assistant Director of Alumni Programs, Director of Postsecondary Pathways, and Director of Postsecondary Pathways (Special Populations) to support direct enrollment and persistence
    • Curriculum Design and Execution
    • · Oversee the execution of the Seminar scope and sequences
    • · Conduct observations to ensure components of Seminar curriculums are being met and to ensure quality of instruction
    • Manage Post-Secondary Team and Transition Activities
    • · Supervise College Advisor, College Coordinator and Internship Coordinator
    • · Manage and coach Post-Secondary Team and Specialized Services Team to run effective student 1:1s and IEP/transition meetings
    • Data Reporting and Management
    • · Create systems to progress monitor GPA and test score progress
    • · Create systems to progress monitor transition activities
    • · Ensure Post-Secondary Team and Specialized Services have the tools and necessary data to support students and engage families
    • · Lead management routines to ensure accuracy and timeliness of critical postsecondary data (application submission, acceptances, scholarship amounts, test scores, test participation, transition activity participation, Naviance Success Planner Tasks, direct enrollment) and ensure timeliness and transparency


Qualifications:
    • Excellent Management Skills: Manage a team effectively and support team members to grow professionally
    • Relationship Builder: Able to see the world from the point of view of our constituents, garner buy-in and move the ball forward
    • Systems Thinker: Experience developing and monitoring systems, protocols, and trainings
    • Analytical Thinker: Able to analyze programs and understand what drives program effectiveness
    • Exceptional organization skills - a detail-oriented approach to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure;
    • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports as well as analyze data in order to make improvement recommendations
    • Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills both orally and in writing with ability to effectively connect with broad range of constituents
    • Comfort and demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate and engage various size groups
    • Track-record of high achievement (premium placed on experience in urban communities and schools)
    • Personal drive and commitment to serve urban youth
    • Deep belief in one's own ability to significantly increase college going, persistence and graduation rates for Mastery alums
    • Ability to effectively work alone and with a high-performing, mission-driven staff
    • Demonstrated resilience to persevere and turn challenges into opportunities while meeting aggressive goals despite limited resources
    • Ability to be a self-starter and creative problem solver while also being a quick learner who is willing to ask questions and seek feedback


Education and Experience:
    • 4 years of related experience managing programming; success developing and implementing programming in a large education, government, or non-profit organization
    • Experience managing teams
    • A proven track record of achieving measurable results
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • BA/BS required
    • Work with urban youth in educational settings in related college access and/or career preparation preferred
    • Familiarity with aspects of college counseling and career exposure programs, including college planning, career development, internships, as well as matriculation challenges and other barriers faced by low-income, first-generation college students preferred


Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the role - either on-site or remotely, and to work in the environmental conditions required, such as: traveling to network campuses; maneuvering in office spaces (including standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, speaking loudly and clearly, seeing and hearing things both near and far away); stooping, kneeling, reaching file cabinets/shelves; fine finger and hand manipulation in use of computer, chalkboard, dry erase, &/or projectors; filing, faxing, scanning, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls; sitting for up to two (2) hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse, and typing.
