Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) as a Saftey & Health Compliance Coordinator. This position will report directly to the Director of Saftey & Heatlth.

The Compliance Coordinator's role is to support the Safety & Health team in their efforts to maintain compliance and standards related to the many safety and health tasks required by various states and school authorizers. This position requires someone who is organized, has excellent attention to detail and can communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Your Role

  • Collect, track and maintain safety and health compliance information
  • Collect emergency drill schedules and upload to county Emergency Management websites
  • Collect emergency drill logs and upload to school websites
  • Maintain training records and track compliance to training using SafeSchools software-training platform
  • Order safety and health related equipment when needed at schools, ex: EpiPens
  • Assist with tracking and follow-up of site safety assessments
  • Additional duties as assigned


Requirements

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong computer experience - specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Must be able to provide an excellent level of customer service
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and dependability
  • Ability to work independently, as a member of the department, and as a team member
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • 1-3 years professional experience preferred
  • Experience in a health and safety environment preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • This position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff

Work Environment:
  • No travel requirements
  • Ability to work in a high traffic, indoor environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
