JOB TITLE: Campus Testing Coordinator - Ninth Grade Center

REPORTS TO: Ninth Grade Center Associate Principal

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt

PAY GRADE: AI2

MINIMUM: $58,692

DAYS: 187

PRIMARY PURPOSE :

The Testing Coordinate is responsible for testing materials and ensuring accurate campus reporting for all local and state assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
  • Three years successful classroom experience
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS :

  • Knowledge and understanding of state assessment requirements, both online and paper/pencil
  • Knowledge of the district's curriculum
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data
  • Ability to interpret law, policy and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Coordinate the planning and administration of the statewide assessment programs including training of campus test administrators, ordering materials, and preparing pre-coded files, test booklets, answer documents, and any other related materials.
  • Coordinate the return of all testing materials according to state and district guidelines.
  • Provide assistance in interpretation and reporting of state and local assessments.
  • Provide support to campus test administrators for all testing programs.
  • Attend district training for all state assessments.
  • Serve as a campus resource for all assessment expectations and procedures.
  • Coordinate the administration of the local assessment program.
  • Coordinate campus norm reference testing.

•Serve as a campus liaison to the District Assessment Coordinator

•Perform all other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following physical demands: physical mobility, standing, prolonged sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of a computer, some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. Maintain emotional control under stress

That number will change soon with the construction of several new facilities – including two middle schools, three ninth-grade centers and a state-of-the-art stadium that will serve the entire district – all funded by a bond referendum approved by voters in 2016.
