Horning Middle School has a comprehensive house model for all learners. As Special Education Teacher you would serve on a collaborative multi age house team (FLIGHT) to provide core and specially designed instruction to students with an IEP.

At the heart of the house structure at Horning is a dedicated school-wide advisory period. At Horning Middle School, the advisory period is critically important to ensuring student's needs are met, both academically and socially/emotionally. The advisor serves as the student's point person within the house system.

Horning is a 1:1 iPad school, seeking a collaborative, innovative teacher leader. This involves planning quality instruction, executing purposeful lessons, and evaluating student-learning outcomes to inform future instructional decisions in a co-serve model of special education.

Candidates should also have a passion for modeling positive contributions to the school culture through high expectations and rigor. An interest in working with diverse students and families is required.
