Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Elementary School Counselor promotes and enhances the learning process for students through an integration of academic, personal/social, and career development. Contributes to and/or manages the School Counseling Program using the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. Delivers counseling services through classroom guidance lessons, small groups, and individual counseling. Analyzes data and uses results to inform stakeholders and continuously improve programs. Assists with transitions, particularly ECE to K, K to 1st grade, and 5th to 6th grade.

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

- Must possess a valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License - School Counselor.

- Previous Elementary school counseling experience preferred.

- Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly preferred.

Skill Requirements:

- Counselor - Master's Degree

- Counselor - Endorsement

Credential Requirements:

- Special Service Initial License

- Special Service Professional License

Education Requirements:

- Master's degree in school counseling, psychology or related field.
