Part-Time Secondary Science Teacher(s) for the New Bedford High School Evening Extension Program (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science)
(Availability of positions are contingent upon enrollment)
1.Bachelor's Degree required.
2.Massachusetts teacher certification in content area required.
3.Teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
4.Comprehensive knowledge of content area preferred.
5.Knowledge and experience utilizing online learning tools and platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, Teams, etc.) for Blended or Distance Learning requirements.
1.Provide effective instruction in high school level Science (3 hours/week)
2.Implement MA Learning Standards for High School Science, Common Core State Standards for Science, and New Bedford Public Schools Curriculum
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
LOCATION: New Bedford High School
DATES: New Bedford High School Evening Extension Program operates on a trimester basis:
•Trimester I: September - November
• Trimester II: December - February
• Trimester III: March - May.
Not all courses are offered each trimester.
Mondays or Wednesdays and some scheduled Tuesdays (As per the trimester schedule of courses offered.)
HOURS:6:30 - 8:45 P.M. (Face to Face) and online learning activities.
Provide minimally 3 hours per week of instructional activities as well as homework
RATE: In accordance with Unit A Contract
