We are currently accepting applications for District Substitutes for the 2021-2022 School Year
Job Duties: Perform the classroom duties of an absent teacher, including the following:
Prepare & execute course of study as prepared by Classroom Teacher, Building Administrator
Manage the classroom so that curriculum guidelines/requirements are fulfilled
Lecture, demonstrate, and use appropriate teaching aids to present subject matter to the students
Prepare, administer &/or correct assignments & tests
Record grades, attendance, academic achievement
Assist as directed by the building administration (Including clerical, cafeteria, bus duty, etc.)
Minimum Requirement
Must have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting, college or university.
Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Must hold a Valid Content Substitute Certificate.
Must pass the pre-employment background investigation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds. Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
