POSITION :

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR II OF GRANTS DEVELOPMENT

QUALIFICATIONS :

Candidates must hold a Bachelo r ' s degree and Maste r ' s degree, and a New Y ork State teaching certificate and a valid New Y ork State School Administration Supervisor (SAS) , New Y ork State District Administrator (SDA), or a New York State School District Leader (SDL) Certificate. Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate teaching. Additional courses in the areas of curriculum theor y , planning and development; and experience in grant writing and budget preparation is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

The responsibilities of the Project Administrator II of Grants Development will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in the development, writing and submission of assigned district grant proposals and special projects, as articulated by interdepartmental planning teams;
  • Assist in the development, writing and submission of assigned district grant proposals and special projects, as articulated by interdepartmental planning teams;
  • Assist in the formulation of outcomes, objectives, techniques and assessment plans for congruence with the Common Core Learning Standards, The Education Bargain, District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) and School Comprehensive Education Plans (SCEP) in an integrated design;
  • Provide technical assistance to grant project managers;
  • Oversee the development of budgets and budget narratives for proposals and special projects;
  • Exercise leadership in identifying funding sources for proposals for school sites and/or Central Office Departments;
  • Supervise the collection of data; and prepare reports at the conclusion of the grants

SELECTION :

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
