  • POSITION: .25 Instructor of Aviation Technology/Drones
    LOCATION: Nashua Technology Center @ Nashua High School North
    STARTING: 2021-2022 School Year
    REPORTS TO: Director of CTE
    SALARY RANGE: $40,884 - $82,254 (salary prorated .25)
    QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching applicants must be NH certified or eligible in Secondary Education.
    Five (5) years or more of experience in the aviation industry.
    Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Aviation from an accredited institution is preferred.
    Experience in working with diverse student populations who represent a wide range of academic ability.

    SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The Nashua Technology Center at the North campus has an open position for an Instructor of Aviation Technology/Drones. The instructor is responsible for teaching an introductory aviation, safety and drone course, one block per day for a semester. The instructor will develop and present specific lesson plans, using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, field trips, audiovisual and library resources, and technology.
    A Teacher in the Nashua School District is highly qualified for the delivery of specified course content, uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively, professionally, showing respect with students and parents, expects students to learn and not fail, actively engages students in lessons that are planned around grade level expectations and enhance critical thinking skills. Teachers implement instructional strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Professional obligations of teachers are met through continuous pursuit of new understanding of teaching and learning, reflection on their own practices and beliefs and through efficient work habits for planning lessons, meeting deadlines and honoring schedules.
