National Heritage Academies (NHA) is currently searching for a Sr. Engagement & Development Consultant who will serve as a designer, developer, and executor of development programs to support the needs of our NHA Service Center as well as a trusted advisor to champion engagement initiatives, systems, and tools for the Service Center as well as our partner schools. The Sr. Engagement and Development Consultant will report to the Manager of Engagement and Development and will join more than 400 experienced and talented professionals at our Service Center in Grand Rapids, Mich. The position will be responsible for all aspects related to designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating learning content to support development needs for various audiences at our Service Center as well creating and championing engagement initiatives across the Service Center and our entire portfolio of schools.

Your Role

  • Champion our goal of ensuring NHA is a great place to work.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to scope and prioritize learning and development needs.
  • Design, develop, and execute learning solutions that support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain curricula for individual contributor and/or leader learning programs.
  • Facilitate face-to-face and virtual learning sessions for various audiences.
  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to deliver "expert-led" learning opportunities.
  • Ensure cost-effective design and implementation of learning programs.
  • Measure and evaluate solutions to ensure relevance, desired outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Help to define, design, and implement engagement initiatives, processes, procedures, and tools based on stakeholder needs as well as internal and external best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our business partners in the areas of engagement and development.
  • Conduct engagement analysis and share findings with key stakeholder to inform decision-making.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with other team members, departments, school employees, and vendors.
  • Work with manager and team to ensure execution of tasks and deliverables.
  • Forecast growth needs, create efficiencies, and identify solutions related to team's functional area.
  • Communicates effectively with various levels of the organization.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, instructional design, training and development, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience designing and delivering development and/or engagement solutions (highly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of principles/methods for employee engagement, adult learning, curriculum design, training facilitation, participant engagement, and measurement of training outcomes.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, including professionalism, relational capacity, and emotional intelligence.
  • A curious mind and a passion for continuous personal learning and development.
  • Strong self-management and project management skills, including the ability to quickly pivot and shift priorities.
  • Sound judgment, maturity, and internal motivation.
  • Work effectively with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Attentiveness to details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
