Reporting to Senior Manager Athletics, Health, and Wellness, the Athletics, Health and Wellness (AHW) Operations Coordinator will join DREAM starting as soon as possible. The ideal candidates must understand and value DREAM's comprehensive approach to youth development and inspire, lead, and motivate DREAM staff to drive outcomes that support youth in recognizing their potential and realizing their dreams. Responsibilities

    • Support the day-to-day operations of the site to ensure youth participate in activities safely, on schedule and with adequate supplies and services;
    • Track supply orders and site budget;
    • Drive equipment (including but not limited to: water, ice, cups, tents, tables, cones, balls, bats, nets etc.) to sites as needed;
    • Collaborate regularly with the AHW Senior Manager, REAL Kids Program Manager, and DREAM University Program Manager to evaluate, troubleshoot, and improve summer programming;
    • Plan and help lead team meetings for Project Coach (High School Youth) logistics staff, and other relevant topics to ensure equipment distribution is smooth and and expectations for support are clear;
    • Additional administrative duties as needed.


Qualifications

    • At least 1 year previous operations and administrative experience;
    • High school diploma or equivalent required, college enrollment or degree, preferred;
    • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record;
    • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft applications and attendance tracking software;
    • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities;
    • Proven record of success in project management;
    • Ability to uphold, promote and model youth development principles;
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills;
    • Belief in the outcomes of the DREAM List, including the importance of social emotional competency and advocacy for self and others;
    • Ability to read and write in Spanish and fluency in spoken Spanish is preferred.


Days and Hours

    • Mid-July through Mid-August 2021Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

    • This position works across DREAM's REAL Kids sites in East Harlem and the South Bronx.

    • South Bronx sites:
    • PS 18 - 502 Morris Avenue
    • DREAM Charter School (Mott Haven) - 411 Wales Avenue


    • COMPENSATION
    • Compensation starts at $18/hour.
    • Varies depending on experience
