The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of New Haven Public Schools, Connecticut State Department of Education Adult Education policies and statues, the College/Career Readiness Standards, and state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to adult and public education. Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, organizational patterns, school operations, and pupil services. Ability to motivate, encourage, and work with staff to ensure outstanding performance as well as good morale. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent human relations skills.

Education, Training, and Experience : Master's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in supervision, educational administration, adult learning, or a closely related field. Five years of successful teaching experience, other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

Certificate and License Requirements : Meets Connecticut Administrative Certification Requirements: 092 Certification. Holds an adult education endorsement of 106 or 107.
