Intermediate District 287 is looking for qualified Education Assistants/Paras/Paraprofessionals like you for open positions throughout the district!

Intermediate District 287 is a west metro district for learners with unique needs. As an intermediate district, we provide specialized services, primarily setting IV special education, to students from 11 member districts in the west metro. Position Details:

• Provide support to students to ensure they receive an excellent education
• Support teachers in the classroom
  
• Only work during school hours (no weekends or long shifts) - 35 hours/week
• Location: Our current needs are in the south and west metro areas: Richfield, Minnetonka, and Edina
  
• Openings could potentially be any of our sites listed below:
• Ann Bremer Education Center - Brooklyn Park, MN
• North Education Center - New Hope, MN
• West Education Center - Minnetonka, MN
• South Education Center - Richfield, MN
• Hennepin Technical College - Eden Prairie Campus
• Care & Treatment Programs

Pay & Benefits:

• Competitive Pay: $17.14 - $25.62 Depending on experience and education

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.
• High school diploma or a general education development (GED) certificate
• Two (2) years of full-time employment or equivalent working with individuals in an environment that provides broad familiarity and understanding of the physical and emotional behaviors and challenges of children with exceptional needs
• Substitution Allowed: College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (½) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.
