Assistant Director, Programs and Partnerships (226 Days)

Description

  • Directly supervise a team of Instructional Specialist Leads and/or Managers, providing them with direction, feedback, and guidance to ensure instructional specialists continue to be successful as the primary quality improvement lever in Early Learning.
  • Directly manage a team of Instructional Specialist Leads and/or Managers, and support them to manage their assigned Instructional Specialists; develop schedule for Specialists and troubleshoot all logistical concerns on campuses and for partnership sites.
  • Supports the implementation of curriculum, student assessments, and professional development as developed by the Early Learning Instructional Strategy team.
  • Supports the Principal of the Partnership PreK campus teams serving 2,000 Dallas ISD students in community-based locations across Dallas, regulary visiting campuses and childcare center sites.
  • Supports the implementation of strategic pilots and programs as defined by the Director as well as develop and implement strategic plan for Manager growth.
  • Ensure continuous growth in the department by coaching the Instructional Specialist Lead team through planning and executing continuous improvement cycles.
  • Serve as primary liaison between internal and external stakeholders and the Director of the Early Learning Instructional Strategy team to ensure Specialists are receiving information and support their needs.
  • Achieve and maintain reliability on CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) for both PreK and K-2.
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.


All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a directly related field, valid teacher certificate
  • Five years of directly related experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing educational programs in a complex, urban district in an early childhood setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood program and best practices, including coaching-based support
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in working with children from various demographics and diverse ethnicities.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in managing multiple subordinates.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage external parties and build relationships.

Minimum Salary: 82,452.00

Median Salary: 100550.00
