The Managing Editor, Digital Curriculum will oversee the Graphing Team, which itself is part of the larger Amplify Math Team. The Graphing Team is responsible for authoring and maintaining digital versions of the Amplify Math curriculum, including lessons, practices, and assessments. The Managing Editor, Digital Curriculum reports to the VP, Math Education.

Responsibilities of the Managing Editor, Digital Curriculum:

• Decide upon best practices in digital lesson design with Curriculum leadership.
• Communicate these best practices out to the rest of the Graphing Team through messaging, meetings, and documentation.
• Maintain the Desmos Authoring Guide, a collection of best practices for the Graphing and Curriculum Teams.
• Manage the Graphing Team, including all Activity Specialists, Graphing Specialists, and Graphing Editorial positions.
• With the VP, Math Education, set priorities for the Graphing Team.
• Ensure that the Graphing Team meets deadlines set in coordination with the VP, Math Education and the Project Management team.
• Work within the budget set by the VP, Math Education to maintain the staffing of the team and to achieve the team's goals.
• Lead daily stand-up meetings with the Graphing Team.
• When necessary, work with other graphers on the team to author content.

Basic Qualifications of the Managing Editor, Graphing:

• At least two years of authoring experience with Desmos Activity Builder and with the Desmos graphing calculator.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or another quantitative field
• Comfort in the following mathematical domains:
  
  • Advanced algebra
  • Trigonometry
  • Calculus
  • Statistics
• At least 5 years of face-to-face classroom teaching experience
• Proficiency using digital teamwork tools, including spreadsheets and Google Drive
• At least 6 months of experience with the Amplify Math curriculum
• Prior experience leading a team of math educators or curriculum developers
