Amplify is looking for an experienced user researcher or customer experience leader to join our team. The user researcher will work as part of a research and product team on a supplemental literacy program. Take a look at our adaptive, research-based program here: https://www.amplify.com/curriculum/amplify-reading The hired candidate will coordinate and implement research studies as well as disseminate results of field research studies that provide support for Amplify's literacy products and services.

Responsibilities of the User Research Manager:
  • Support creation of research partnership parameters and communications.
  • Work across teams (research, product, sales and implementation) to identify candidates for research partnerships
  • Act as account manager/point of contact for identified sites, provide materials, set up study logistics, check-in during data collection, schedule trainings, interviews, observations and surveys
  • Review, organize and report on qualitative and quantitative feedback
  • Provide teams and partners with progress reports
  • Establish internal processes and best practices for planning and executing user research and sharing insights within and across internal teams
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications of the User Research Manager :
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a user research, customer support or account management role
  • Experience coordinating across teams and with customers, including senior-level partners
  • Experience coordinating research projects
  • Experience leading conversations and meetings with important partners


Preferred Qualifications of the User Research Manager :
  • Bachelor's degree in education
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Knowledge of literacy development in the elementary grades
  • Interest in the field of education
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Bonus if you have experience in a similar role in the education technology field
  • Extra plus if you have experience leading or participating in DEI work focused on increasing diversity of representation in products or processes
