Job Description

Business Partnerships Coordinator

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to partner with local businesses to develop programs and opportunities to benefit the district and its schools to enhance student outcomes and family engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Identify new and strengthen existing partnerships with businesses/corporations that align with the district's strategic goals, and to build capacity for becoming involved with improving student achievement.

•Evaluate and report successes, challenges, and strategic opportunities by administering surveys, conducting interviews, analyzing data, maintaining records of activities and associated contacts, sharing success stories, and writing project reports that detail outcomes.

•Develop a database of stakeholders (community leaders and business owners) that will provide support to district Initiatives.

•Draft communications and guide messaging for all facets of business partnerships, in collaboration with Executive Director of Community Engagement and Communications and External Relations team.

•Attend community events and group meetings/workshops facilitated by community organizations.

•Track engagements by establishing and maintaining standard practices for inviting, receiving, managing, and processing requests related to supportive programs and initiatives. Keep district leadership informed and educated about initiatives and the outcomes of programs within the district.

•Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•Skill in building partnerships with the community, local businesses, and other WS/FCS stakeholders. Networking skills and ability to build and sustain effective working relations.

•Knowledge of sophisticated, multi-faceted engagement and partnership strategies and operations.

•Ability to work with diverse groups in a manner that is sensitive and respectful to different personalities and community dynamics.

•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with district officials, school administrators, community representatives, and the public.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Docs.

•Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to speak comfortably in public to a broad audience.

•Effective time management skills ensuring schedules and deadlines are met.

•Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, careful attention to detail and efficient prioritization of tasks, deadlines, and time.

Job Qualification

Pay Grade - OSS2 | Full-time | 12 Months | Minimum Annual Salary $51,945

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

•Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Relations or related field and three (3) years of work experience building partnerships between education and community organizations or project coordinator managing collaborative efforts; or equivalent combination whereby needed knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained.

•Desirable: Bachelor's Degree in related field with five (5) years of work experience as project coordinator managing partnerships between education and community organizations to successfully meet project goals and strong bilingual (Spanish) fluency.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

•Valid NC Driver's License and clean driving record.
