AFTERSCHOOL ELEMENTARY INTERVENTIONIST (PK-8)
Dunbar School

PART TIME - HOURLY POSITION ($38.50 per hour)
6 Hours per Week / 30 Weeks

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provide Reading Intervention for students at the school-based level

Assist teachers in collecting data on student progress and all required reports.

Support student independence through the acquisition of skills and strategies

REQUIREMENTS :

Connecticut Certification: Elementary (001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 013, 305)

Minimum three years successful teaching experience

Evidence of effectiveness in improving academic achievement for students assessed as being below proficiency in reading and/or mathematics.

Demonstrated knowledge of current trends and research related to the theory and practice of intervention in literacy and mathematics for students in need

Able to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology for communication and delivery of instruction
