    • Greenwich CT Public Schools is seeking a certified .9 Spanish teacher who will be responsible for teaching Spanish to grades 3 - 5 at North Mianus Elementary School
    • Fluency in English and oral/written Spanish required.
    • Professional experience in Spanish instruction at the elementary level preferred.
    • Experience using technology (e.g. Google Suite, Nearpod, etc.)
    Responsibilities
    • Focus on helping students in grades 3 - 5 develop their oral and literacy skills aligned to the World Readiness Standards for Learning Languages
    • Work collaboratively with building-based and WL program-based colleagues to support students' linguistic needs in Spanish
    • Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning
    • Modify where appropriate instructional methods and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
    • Learn and use technology to enhance teaching where appropriate
    • Evaluate student performance consistently
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress
    WorkYear and Compensation
    • Work year is 187 days, salary based on the appropriate GEA salary level.

    Qualifications :
    • Graduation from accredited college or university.
    • CT certification in World Language K - 12 (Spanish) or K - 6 elementary bilingual
    • Ability to personalize learning in a blended learning environment
    • Knowledge of best practices in World Language instruction
    • Strong communication skills
