JOB TITLE: MLA Middle - Educational Assistant - Classroom Aide (Science)

JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Responsible for providing assistance with students to the classroom teacher for written support and/or conveying information in an accountable capacity.Reports to Assigned Staff for various functions as required.Behavior support and general classroom teacher support as directed by the School Principal.General support such as copying and data entry can be provided during non-academic instruction times. (i.e. lunch, reading time, snack) if student support is not required.Lead small groups as planned by the supervisingMaintain notes or conduct regular consultations on student progress.Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom with collaboration with any additional staff including, SPED staff, school counselor and ABA therapists.Other duties as assigned by direct support staff and cleared through administration.

Employees must abide by all guidelines regarding appearance, punctuality and technology use as indicated in the MLA Employee handbook.

Time Management:

A 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked and a minimum 30 minute lunch for every 8 hours worked; to be coordinated with support staff and supervisory personnel.

Will be adjusted per each individual's salary notice.

SALARY, HOURS, APPLICATION AND REPORTING

• Salaried/ one (1) FTE - 0.8 FTE, (32 hrs per week; 8 hrs per day Mon-Thurs)Annual salary range $28,500-33,039.31. Depends on FTE.Hours of operation: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm; Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
