    ADMINISTRATIVE JOB OPENING

    Coordinator of Family and Community Climate and Engagement

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

    Bridgeport Public Schools is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about changing the lives of young people, improving the academic climate and becoming a positive role model for students while fostering relationships with their respective families. This position will involve the building of proactive relationships with students, teachers, administrative staff, stakeholders and other community organizations. This position will play a critical role in communicating and supporting the Districts commitment to engaging families with courtesy, dignity, respect and cultural understanding. Collaborate with teachers and Administrators to support schools in creating positive climates for students, teachers, and staff. This position requires passion and creativity with strong planning, organization, and facilitation skills. This position will work with/at multiple schools across the district and will report directly to each school administrator.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : (to include but not be limited to)
  • Work under the supervision of The Director of School Counseling & Parent Partnerships.
  • Support district-wide attendance protocols and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to improve parent engagement.
  • Engage community partners to work collaboratively with Bridgeport Public Schools.
  • Support district-wide implementation of mentoring and tutoring programs.
  • Support district-wide SEL initiatives and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with administrators and school staff to improve school climate and culture.
  • Oversee and manage Restorative Practices Interventionist and Parent Engagement Liaisons.
  • Any other duties as directed.

  • REQUIREMENTS :
  • Certification as an Intermediate Administrator (092).
  • A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
  • Experience working with truancy and attendance intervention programs.
  • Experience working with outside service agencies.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.


  • This is a Group IV Position
    Salary for 2021-2022 is M.A. $103,425 to Ph.D. $113,996
