Reporting to the PreK-8 Data Manager, the Data and Assessment Associate will support in data collection, management, reporting and analysis. The DREAM Data Team provides staff with the information necessary to improve our work and the lives of youth by creating effective systems and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

    • Data Collection & Management
    • Lead the internal and external test administration process for all DREAM assessments -
    • including assembling, distributing and collecting materials, monitoring completion, and
    • maintaining compliance with test security - to ensure that testing procedures are routine and efficient
    • Collaborate with the Director of Special Education to ensure adherence to all mandated testing accommodations for students with disabilities
    • Oversee unit assessment timelines to ensure all assessments are created, administered, scored, and scanned in a smooth, efficient manner that allows for timely analysis
    • Support the creation, quality assurance, printing and distribution of report cards to families
    • Train and support school-based staff in student information systems, data tools and reports in a way that allows them to make effective data-driven decisions
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement several strategic initiatives including school expansion, organizational excellence, and social-emotional learning


    • Data Reporting & Analysis
    • Build and maintain data reports and visualizations to display student achievement results and key performance metrics
    • Prepare relevant materials for data analysis meetings (Source various systems/use various software to?)
    • Administer and analyze internal and external student, staff, and family surveys
    • Work with school-based instructional leadership to track and analyze data
    • Work with external and internal data that identifies trends in achievement strengths and challenges
    • Provide additional data reporting and analysis as needed for external accountability, compliance, teacher evaluation or development tasks


Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience in data analysis
    • Exemplary attention to detail while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • A team player who can be relied on to get the job done through both proactive problem-solving and effective communication
    • Solutions-oriented approach to changing and challenging circumstances
    • Experience with working on long term projects and the ability to prioritize effectively to achieve goals months or years away
    • Familiarity with with G Suite, MS Excel
    • Eagerness to learn new things, try and fail, and desire to grow both professionally and personally
    • Commitment to the mission and values of DREAM, including a desire to make a lasting impact in underserved communities while contributing to the expansion of a dynamic organization
