Job Purpose
To oversee and be part of a Surveillance Covid Testing Team that will perform Covid Pooled testing to students and staff at summer programs and camps at CPS and perform Covid antigen testing. In addition, this RN functions as a nurse consultant at designated school sites.

Duties/Responsibilities
The Summer school nurse will oversee Covid Pool testing of students and staff at all summer programs and camps at 11 Cambridge Public Schools and 4 DHSP Youth Centers. Duties will include performing anterior nasal swabbing for antigen testing of positive pools. The nurse will inform program leads, families, and nurse manager of results and ensure that the necessary procedures and follow up are being completed. The nurse will order all supplies and be responsible for keeping adequate supplies on hand for daily testing, ensure that schedules are being regarded, and all testing procedures and protocols such as: proper handling and labeling of specimens, delivery or organization of specimens to be either picked up or delivered to specific locations during the work day are being followed. The RN will also be responsible for keeping accurate spread sheets of Pooled and Antigen testing counts. Provide consultation as needed to designated schools. The nurse will only be responsible for consultation and not hands on daily care. Nurse should be able to triage calls appropriately and be able to inform program leads when to call EMS.

Qualifications/Requirements:
RN license, AHA BLS certification. Experience working with children and adolescents. Experience with Pooled and Antigen testing in a school environment

Amount of Contract: Not to exceed $20,000
Payment Terms: $69.96 per hour
