Job Title: High School (Secondary) Spanish Teacher

Job Description: High School Spanish Teacher to teach Spanish and the AP Spanish Language and Culture curriculum at Basalt High School. The positions specific duties include:

- Teach high school students Spanish as a foreign language.
- Design instructional activities that enhance the teaching objectives and reflect an
interdisciplinary/thematic approach to teaching.
- Select appropriate instruction materials commensurate with the students' ability levels and interest.
- Demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and student effective
development.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community in support of
educational programs.
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of the school districts standards based on educational programs.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent and valid Colorado Teacher's License with Spanish Endorsement. Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English.

Work Conditions: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
