PURPOSE OF JOB:

Monitor the impact of LSCE programming for ELs, including the academic and linguistic progress of ELs and the impact of family and community services. This position also serves as the district test coordinator for the Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State (ACCESS) for ELLs test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties as assigned.

Collect and analyze department data to prepare reports for various state, local and federal grants and programs (SEE-TEL, refugee, Seal of Biliteracy)

Assist with development and maintenance of data dashboard to monitor and track student and program performance

Compile data from multiple assessments, including but not limited to ACCESS, iReady, MAP, and district interims to develop student, subject, program and school achievement profiles

Monitor performance data of ELs, both active, monitored and former ELs and support the reclassification process

Compile and disseminate program data to district and school staff regarding ELs and language proficiency data

Support the Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development department in the development of interim assessments for ELs

Serve as district ACCESS test coordinator which includes ordering and managing materials, test administration training, etc.

Attend, and lead as appropriate, training sessions and meetings related to assigned responsibilities

Coordinate the screening and placement of new ELs

Collaborate closely with Research and Instructional Technology Departments as necessary (data integrity team)

Support compliance with all state and federal regulations (Title III, ESSA, DESE, etc.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA in instructional technology, mathematics or related field (comparable work experience will be considered)

Must have experience in using academic data to impact instruction or school systems

Competency in using software to process and manage large data sets

Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities

Ability to communicate both in writing and orally technical information that is understandable to those without technical training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced knowledge of computer and database management and/or competency in a programming language (Python, SQL, R, C++)
