Content Designer, Partner Success Resource Programs ( 6- Month Contract Opportunity)

Position S ummary ...

The Content Designer creates learning activities , materials, and assets, working collaboratively with Training Manager colleagues, Partner Services , Professional Learning , Program Management, Partner Accounts, other cross-organizational representatives, and external partners to create high-quality learning offerings . This contract role will have a specific focus on helping review internal and partner facing content for accessibility compliance.

Responsibilities ...

  • Develop interactive and engaging eLearning courses using authoring tools
  • Assist in reviewing and updating content to adhere to WCAG 2.0 compliance
  • Develop and maintain custom training resources for specified partners
  • Write software instructions and report descriptions for end users
  • Work with content experts and key stakeholders to identify learning outcomes and design and deliver effective learning experiences
  • Work with training managers to apply knowledge of industry trends to determine the use of innovative ideas in the design and delivery of NWEA's internal product/process offerings
  • Effectively integrate quality assurance feedback and evaluation into the ongoing revisions of training assets
  • Coordinate technical review and quality testing of completed training products
  • For assigned projects and sustaining work, ensure timely communication of updates, monitor and manage workflow and identify potential and current problems
  • Revise, update and maintain online training resources
  • Assist in the education of team members on creating WCAG 2.0 accessible content
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of projects
  • Collaborate with other staff within the Partner Success department and broader organization to refine processes and workflow design
  • Provide leadership and support to editors/creators of NWEA's partner Knowledge Base
Skills and A bilities ...

  • Skilled in drawing upon innovative and creative ideas in the design of internal product/process training
  • Deep understanding of the issues pertinent to content, curriculum, delivery methods, and instruction as they relate to product/process training
  • Understanding of creating WCAG 2.0 compliance content and WCAG conformance levels (A, AA, AAA)
  • Deep understanding of NWEA products and services, or ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge
  • Demonstrated skill and ability in designing and creating high quality, eLearning modules , materials, and resources
  • Ability to work effectively and manage projects in a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Ability to facilitate individual and team conversations to elicit ideas and "collective knowledge" from a variety of educational professionals and stakeholders throughout the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) phases
  • Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of Agile development and iterative solution building
  • Experience in applying an accessible and diverse lens when creating solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to learning and growing
  • Ability to recognize and work from a strategic, systems perspective
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
  • Ability to assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures and recommend improvements
  • Ability to thoroughly understand stakeholder needs and develop learning interactions and materials to meet those needs
  • Familiar with technical content management software ( MadCap , Flare a plus), current tools, techniques, and processes, from paper to web

Education and E xperience ...

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; or an equivalent combinations of work experience and/or education will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum three years of instructional design experience required
  • Minimum two years of experience in the development of eLearning preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in the development of user product training materials
  • Experience creating WCAG 2.0 compliant content
  • Experience with learning management systems
