Description

  • Assume responsibility for the recruitment, interviewing, and employment processing of personnel for the Transportation Department. Conduct formal presentations and meetings with prospects
  • Cross-collaborate with HCM, Risk Management, DOT/D&A provider to ensure candidate expeditiously moves through the pre-employment process
  • Coordinates new hire clearance and onboarding with HCM and internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for organizing and planning department job fairs and all recruiting initiatives. Create advertisement content in collaboration with the Communications department
  • Reviews candidate credentials to determine eligibility. Compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and electronic employee records
  • Maintain hiring records for all staffing data and vacancies. Provide weekly reports.
  • Establish and foster collaborations with external partners vital to the department’s recruitment efforts
  • Review personnel allocations and make recommendations for staffing.
  • Utilize technology to research, collect data, analyze findings, and prepare reports to drive recruitment efforts . Develop recruitment strategies to ensure the department hires and retains quality drivers and monitors.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Two years' experience in recruitment, program, or initiative management, or directly related work
  • Possess thorough knowledge of Dallas ISD and its policies, preferred.
  • Experience with recruitment and hiring software - Talent Management System (TMS) preferred
  • Experience in human resources, recruiting, or marketing preferred
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and various other computer programs
  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with diverse employee groups, administrators, and patrons
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
