    Report to: Chief Executive Officer & Superintendent

    Contract Year: 225 Days

    PURPOSE: The Revitalization Principal provides transformational leadership to planning, launching and managing a turnaround school. This includes implementing an improvement model which focuses on high student achievement; building a positive school climate that supports the whole student; leveraging research and data to drive initiatives and instruction, and building a high-performing staff and leadership team to achieve the school's vision and goals. The Revitalization Principal will collaborate with students, parents, community members, as well as other internal/external resources and stakeholders to implement new educational programs, capital improvements, systems, tools and other resources to accelerate student achievement and college and career readiness.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Possession of a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related field
    • Proven success leading and turning around chronically low-achieving schools
    • Minimum of three years administrative experience in education
    • Possess the necessary License/Certification required for a Elementary School Principal by the State of Ohio.

    • Extensive knowledge of comprehensive assessment systems
    • Success with professional development design and delivery to help teachers raise test scores using data
    • Proven experience in conducting rigorous evaluations of educators and school staff performance
    • Gathers, researches and analyzes data for use in statistical calculations and reporting in order to meet federal and state requirements, including creating workforce analysis reports.
    • Experience with alternatives to discipline
    • Innovative stakeholder engagement. strategies to connect the community, the city, parents and partnerships to the needs of our learners.
