Serves as CSE/CPSE Chairperson. Supervises itinerant student personnel and staff including special education teachers, speech therapist(s), school psychologist (s), school social worker(s), home tutors, reading teachers, school counselors, school nurses, and teacher aides, in conjunction with building principals. Directs the work of clerical employees assigned to the department. Directs the work of staff serving as members of various student services committees.

Additional Job Information : Holds New York State certification in one or more of the student support services areas and New York State certification as a school district administrator or school administrator and supervisor. Has completed a minimum of three years of successful teaching, or student support experience. Possesses knowledge and experiences in the areas of special education, school psychology, school counseling, speech, school social work, related health services, compensatory education, academic intervention services, home schooling and Individualized Home Instruction Plans and grants. Has a sound understanding of Part 200 regulations. Possesses strong communication, problem solving, and human relations skills. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
