JOB GOAL
Provides leadership support to the Area Superintendent and to the assigned District in the operational and business- related functions including finance, HR, facilities, IT, and operations. Administers the facilities management and support service procedures to the district in an efficient and effective manner that will meet all local, state, and federal guidelines.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or u niversity
• Minimum 3 years of ad ministrative experience
• Principal experience (preferred)
• Master's degree in Education (preferred)
• Texas Principal or Mid- Management Certification ( preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
• Assists the Area Superintendent with operational and business- related functions for the d istrict including finance, HR, facilities, IT, and operations.
• Assists the Area Superintendent in s upervis ing and evaluat ing P rincipals; works with P rincipals and campus Op erations staff to resolve school- based concerns and problems
• Supervises and manages all Operations /Business Managers at the campuses of the district.
• Works with Central Office departments in coordination to implement HPS programs and policies with fidelity
• Supervises and oversees all school operational items including student recruitment, enrollment, attendance, child nutrition, student health and safety, facilities, transportation, information technology, etc.
• Supervises and oversees all financial items including accounts payable , budgeting, purchasing, payroll, grants, etc.
• Supervises and oversees all personnel items including employee relations, onboarding, hiring and separations, recruitment and prescreening, vacancy management, etc.
• Ensures implementation of federal, state, an d local policies and procedures in regards to school operational and financial programs.
• Assist s Area Superintendent in develop ing and administer ing the district budget in cooperation with Finance Department using sound fiscal practices.
• Manages the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and oversee the district's financial transactions
• Coordinates and manages district staffing plan.
• Supervises the performance evaluation process within the district in coordina tion with other departments.
• Assists principals in staffing hard- to-fill and high needs positions
• Assists in determining capital improvement needs of the district by utilizing pupil projections, demographic studies, educational requi rements, facilities requirements, and financial projections.
• Supports the alignment of functions between campuses, district office, a nd central office.
• Visits campuses regularly to provide on-site support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of human resources, school operations, f ac ilities and maintenance p lanning/management, and finance
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of ma nagement, both internal and external to the district.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
• Ability to use computer including softw are, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Light Work: may require the occasional light lifting.
• Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
• Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
• Moderate travel is required.
