Subjects and Grades:

* Position begins in school year 2021-2022
* Early Childhood Elementary (ECE)

Essential Functions and Objectives:

- Provides instruction to students in an Early Childhood Education classroom. Implements the District's ECE program at the local school level under the direction of the school principal and the Instructional Support staff. Must comply with ECE program rules, regulations and State of Colorado licensing requirements for Child Care Centers, including re-fingerprinting, a child abuse and neglect background check, and annual training.
- Provides instruction to linguistically diverse students in English only.

Other information:

Stephen Knight Center for Early Education is comprised of Preschool and Kindergarten classes only. We feed into our home elementary schools, which are Asbury, Cory, Slavens, Steele, University Park, and Lincoln. We are also proud to have families who "choice in" to our school each year. Our Center for Early Education offers students a hands-on, energetic, enriching, and developmentally appropriate program in a safe learning environment. We have a highly skilled staff and strong parent and community involvement. As educators, we learn from one another, utilizing the strengths of our colleagues to increase our own capacity as professionals. When adults are engaged and excited about learning we create a love for learning and a high level of energy that is sustained throughout the school year. We believe learning, love and laughter are our greatest sources of energy. Our program has served as a model Early Education Centers in DPS.
