Early Intervention Preschool Summer Session (Pending enrollment, funding, and Board approval): The Early Intervention Summer Session will serve eligible preschool children at locations to be determined. Student dates: 15 days during the month of July. (Dates to be determined) Students are eligible to participate based on needs identified in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Staff will work in a classroom setting, serve children on an itinerant basis in various community sites throughout the city or serve on an evaluation team. Teachers may be assigned to a classroom and/or will be assigned as an itinerant. Specific assignments will be made closer to summer. Only applicants who can work all days indicated for the position in the posting should apply. Must have car.
Salary :
Salary: 70% of Daily Rate (Pay dates to be decided by payroll)
Only applicants that can work all summer session days indicated for the position should apply. Staff will not receive sick days.
Locations:
- To be determined (TBD).
Up to 4 positions available
Staff Dates:
- Monday June 28, Tuesday, June 29 (set up) and Monday, August 2, 2021 (clean up).
Classroom dates are 15 days during the month of July 2021 (classroom dates to be determined)
- Itinerant dates may be selected based on child availability.
- (Total of 20 days)
Hours of Work:
- 8:30 AM-1:30 PM
Qualifications :
- Certified COTA and experience working with EI children.
- Opportunities on this posting are only available for current PPS employees.
- Employees that are on a leave of absence when school ends are not eligible for summer opportunities.
- Employees receiving an unsatisfactory rating during the preceding school year are not eligible for summer opportunities.
- All positions are based on enrollment and funding and are not guaranteed.
- A car is required.
