Qualifications
Coaching/Professional Development (Instruction by HQ Teachers/HQ Professional Development)
- Represent the district’s instructional philosophy and frameworks in all aspects of the position to include professional development, coaching, and curriculum support
- Provide targeted feedback to campus instructional coaches on coaching methodology and content related to the district’s instructional program and student achievement
- Implement coaching strategies effectively, such as Cognitive Coaching and Content-focused Coaching, etc.
- Develop and present district professional development to campus instructional coaches and other district staff as needed to include evening and weekends
- Provide feedback to campus instructional coaches on delivery and content
- Provide content area expertise to improve instructional practices
- Strengthen and deepen content knowledge and coaching skills
Data Analysis (Needs Assessment/Assessment Decision Making)
- Use data to assist action/improvement plan development
- Utilize district data to make informed decisions regarding focus and content of professional development
- Facilitate a variety of formative assessment methods for data-driven instruction
- Coordinate data findings with focus of work to include campus selection for services
Curriculum Development/Instructional Support
- Co-create and support a viable and purposeful district curriculum
- Facilitate use of research-based content resources
- Support assessment development
- Collaborate with colleagues and district teachers to develop and support curriculum
- Utilize strategies to include but not limited to instructional models, resources, and coaching to deepen instructional practices that support curriculum
- Communicate the process utilized to develop the curriculum and selection of resources
- Support professional learning community meetings
- Perform all duties as assigned, as it relates to the Title I, Part A grant at 100%
Due to COVID-19 Pandemic below are additional duties:
- Technical support to campuses
- Host virtual CIC meetings
- Host virtual PLC meetings with their campuses
- Assist with virtual Principal meetings
- Attend virtual PD to support campuses
- Monitor and assist virtual classes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university in a directly related field; Master's degree preferred
- Valid Texas Teaching certification required: Elementary generalist or concentration in ELA, Math or Science preferred/Secondary certification in a subject area (ELA/MATH/Science) preferred
- Demonstrates strong written and oral language skills
- Demonstrates ability to work and communicate with diverse audience
- Demonstrates excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Oracle
- Five years teaching experience preferred with emphasis in specified content area; evaluation and analysis of assessment and accountability data; development and delivery of professional development; leadership role in campus/department committees; coaching experience
- Knowledge and skills in the use of technology as a resource within the instructional program
- Ability to maintain effective written and oral communication
- Ability to develop and provide professional development to adult learners
- Demonstrate strong content knowledge
