Program Manager, K-2 Early Learning
FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE
Directs and oversees the work of the K-2 Early Learning Partners. Provides training and problem-solving support to partners as they ensure that teachers have adequate schedules, materials, and technical assistance. Assists in the development and/or selection of professional learning opportunities for K-2 teachers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports all Early Learning Partners.
• Oversees implementation of Project Impact Grant Early Learning.
• Provides regularly scheduled meetings with team members to discuss status of implementation of programs and support to schools.
• Oversees implementation of research based instructional methodologies in early grades classrooms.
• Provides coaching and feedback for Early Learning Partners.
• Provides direct coaching and modeling for teachers of Direct Instruction programs.
• Completes fidelity observations in classrooms and conducts regular program and foundational training.
• Participates in ongoing development, delivery, and evaluation of staff training in all content areas within Early Learning.
• Oversees inventory and distribution of materials for instructional programs.
• Assists with grade level planning.
• Maintains data on student outcomes, teacher effectiveness, teacher training, and overall program effectiveness.
• Acts as a trainer, supporter, and promoter of research based instructional programs/ methodologies.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all stakeholder groups.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Science of Reading and effective foundational reading strategies.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of foundational mathematics skills.

Pay Grade PSM2 | Full-time | 12 Months | Minimum Annual Salary $65,860
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum: Master's Degree in respective content area or a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership
• Desirable: Five years of experience in teaching.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Valid NC licensure in content area or Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Leadership.
